Graham sat down at one of the booths, looking down at his bottle of beer. Honestly, out of all the things he'd be doing, he didn't think he'd be here, tonight. Alone. His first time at a gay bar, he'd imagined it to be with a friend, maybe even a boyfriend. Guess it wasn't going to happen for him. Friends were...well scarce and busy, and a boyfriend? That was most likely never going to happen. He still had a really big crush on Juli, but things with him...well he had sort of given up.
So he was single, gay, and desperate as fcuk to finally meet someone that could love him and wasn't as complicated as everything else seemed to be. But it was hard not to screw it up like everything else in his life. That's what he was. Screw-up guy. The eternal joke, and he was sick of it. Maybe he should just leave the school. Find some other place to make it.

Aidan didn't care if it was a gay bar, republicans club or tea party at Aunt Myrna's. He had a work to do here tonight. An amateurs night. Everyone could show whatever they wanted and they would get paid - something Aidan needed. Of course half of the guys were stripping and dancing, hoping to attract someone. Aidan would never do that. Instead he entered the stage with his guitar. He sat on the bar stool in the middle and plucked the strings. The melody filled the room and his voice followed. I don't love you I'm just passing the time. You could love me if I knew how to lie. But who could love me, I'm just out of my mind throwing a line out to sea to see if I can catch a dream"

Gray turned his head the moment Aidan started playing. He knew him. Not very well, since the singer hung out with a different crowd, but he liked him. And his voice was amazing. Simple, but it drew attention, more so than the many guys shedding their skin onstage. They hadn't managed to turn his head once. Listening to him, he noticed how most of the room got quiet and almost rolled eyes at himself. Sure. A guy like him would look at him when he had an entire room at his feet. Get real, Gray.

Aidan wasn't looking at the crowd so he had no idea if they liked his song or not. His eyes were either closed or focused on the guitar. He didn't want to look up. Half of these people looked scary. Big, hairy, dressed in leather. Looking at him as if he was a prey. no, he definitely didn't like it.
he finished the song smiling faintly"Thank you" He said then pushed the glasses up the bridge of his shapely nose and ran off the stage

Gray laughed a little when Aidan practically bolted offstage. He waved at a waiter, gesturing for him to come over. When he did, he smiled and gave him some money. "Get me a beer, and a-" He paused for a moment. What did Aidan drink? It took him a few seconds to remember. "Bring a red wine to the guy who just left the stage. Tell him it's from a friend."

Backstage Aidan put his guitar back in the case and went to the bar for a drink. He'd have to make sure to stay away from people. To achieve that he chose a small table in the corner. Luckily there was just one chair there. THe others were moved to another table. He sat there with the guitar by the wall and was about to wave for a waiter when just as if reading his mind the man appeared by his side with a glass of red wine. Aidan raised his eyebrow suspiciously. A friend? What friend? He raised his eyebrow higher when the waiter pointed to the guy. He looked familiar but could Aidan trust him? What if he added something to the wine?

Graham hadn't counted on that suspicious look and his smile faded. He really wasn't made for flirting. Sighing a bit he turned back to his beer, looking at the slight foam in the bottle and downing some more of it. Some guy was on stage, crooning and looking like he was about to start his very own porn movie. It really wasn't interesting or attractive in any way. Gray had never had a thing for very promiscuous people. They weren't to be trusted anyway. That's what Juli had proved, hadn't he?

The waiter assured Aidan the wine wasn't spiked and it was safe to drink it. Finally Aidan nodded and took a sip. It was god. His favorite actually. He asked the waiter to thank the guy then focused on the dancer. Soon he decided that dancer was a big word in this case. Too big. HE shook head then decided to focus his eyes on the wine instead

The waiter walked over to him, delivering Aidans message. He smiled faintly, nodding his head in Aidans direction and taking a sip from his beer. If the guy didn't want to talk to him then fine, he wouldn't try. What good would it do? He wasn't the kind of guy that people like Aidan fell for, and yes, maybe he was stereotyping but it seemed to protect his heart, so he allowed himself to. It was time that he went to live in the real world.

Aidan smiled weakly at the other guy nodding a thank you and raising his glass. He'd stay where he was. The place was good in general. But after a third offer from an guy he'd rather avoid he decided to move. He got up picking up his guitar and walked to the table there the other student sat. "Hi" He said shyly. "Um...thanks for the wine. Mind if I...join you?" He asked nervously. "I mean...I'm not trying to flirt just...I don't feel really safe there" He grimaced. That sounded rather wring and he expected the boy to bark at him

Graham actually chuckled at that, rather than be offended. Nobody had bothered to come onto him, but he could understand why they'd go for a shy little biscuit like the singer. "No, I don't mind. Sit down." He finished his beer, putting it back down on the table and looking at Aidan for a moment. He looked impossibly cute. "Don't worry. If they annoy you, I can always play the big, strong guy." He was tall, and that was his advantage.

Aidan sat down quictly putting his guitar between his own body and the wall. "Thanks" He smiled softly. He couldn't say if the guy was big. His shoulders were definitely broader. He could be taller too. "I'm not really used to that" He grimaced. He wasn't very social. Usually he'd sit down alone in a bar and have a drink or two before going back to his dorm to practice

"It's a change. I'm used to bars where guys chat up girls, not other guys." Graham gave him a friendly smile, giving the waiter another little wave to make him come over. He definitely needed another beer. Tonight was a night he wanted to spend with someone nice, someone he could just chat to without having everything so completely complicated. "Do you want another drink?"

"Yes, please" Aidan nodded. "Thank you" He smiled. This time not shyly and without fear. He pulled out his glasses and started cleaning them with a silk scarf he had around his neck. "Yeah, i'm used to those bars too. Although i'm not good at chatting up girls" He grimaced. not good...he just sucked at it. They'd laugh at him or just roll eyes at the skinny geek in glasses

"So you like girls?" Very smooth, Graham. He colored a little, turning to the waiter and ordering a probably girlish but still very good-tasting drink, and another wine for Aidan. He'd watched him at parties, had known which wine to pick. "I mean...I was just wondering what you were doing here. You didn't look too comfortable onstage."
