That is in the past, and that's where it's staying, no matter what anyone will say." He was about to be turned down by Aidan, wasn't he? Well that was just excellent. He hadn't meant to be coming on to him in the first place, but yeah, he was a little drunk.

Graham gave him a little smile when Aidan told him about being uncomfortable. "Would you..." He shook his head. "No, nevermind." He'd wanted to ask him if he minded being flirted with, if there could possibly be anything more than friendship. At least for a night.

no, there wouldn't. not for a night. Aidan would tell him that if Gray asked. He was too much of a romantic. He couldn't go for a one night stand. The remark about cutting made his eyes go wide. "You...nevermind" He shook head. "You deserve a happy relationship. With someone who'd make you happy for more than one night and more than just physically"

Well, he wanted more than a night, he was just pretty sure that Aidan wasn't interested in him this way. Gray felt tempted to light a cigarette, but wasn't sure what Aidan thought of smoking, so he sighed and played with his coaster for a moment. "I don't think I'm meant to be happy. Look at me...I can't even flirt with someone without sounding like a complete asshole."

"Of course you're meant to be happy" Aidan said shrugging. "If someone isn't meant to be happy it's me. You'll find your happiness. You know what it's like, you know what to look for. I only know suffering. All I can do is trying to avoid it. I can't even open up to the world. With this attitude there's no way I'll ever be happy" He sighed but that was true. He was hiding in his shell, afraid to be hurt

Gray shook his head a bit, reaching out for Aidan and brushing his cheek with one finger. "I wish I could change that. Wish I could make you feel happy and confident and loved." As a friend, if nothing more. He had been attracted to Aidan for a long time. This wasn't just some drunk game he was playing. He wasn't like Tony.

"I guess I need to go through it alone. Heal on my own first" Aidan spoke looking at the wine in his glass. He was getting a little depressed. They should change the topic. He looked at the stage. This time the guy on it wasn't stripping. He was dressed in flashy clothes, waving a boa and singing Gloria Gaynon's I Will Survive. That made Aidan laugh. So appropriate. So fitting

Graham suddenly grinned at Aidan. "Hey...how about we go onstage together? Sing a song? Life is about taking chances, isn't it?" He wasn't completely happy that Aidan didn't return his flirting, but who cared? He knew he wasn't crush material, or dating material. No. He had thought that, once, a long time ago. But then Juli happened and he'd killed what little self-esteem he had.

"you mean like now?" Aidan asked and his eyes widened. That wasn't such a bad idea although he never tried playing with someone. "Sure. Just name the song and I'll see if I know it" He smiled. Yes, singing and playing was his domain. It felt much safer than talking about love and relationships. And who knows, maybe someone would notice them

Graham grinned. "Yes, now." It would be great, relax and play and maybe have someone see them, think that they were good enough, for something at least. He named a popular song, one he was sure Aidan would know. He could sing back-up if the other needed a second voice. It would be fun. It would be more than fun, and he was good at drumming, that he knew at least.

Aidan frowned thinking, biting his bottom lip gently. He closed his eyes and his fingers started to move in the air. A quick check. He could do it. he knew the melody and should be able to play it. "Alright. Let' do it then" He said opening his eyes and smiling. He got up and took his guitar then stopped waiting for Graham
