"I'm not really sure" Aidan answered. "I mean I do like girls. Boys too I think" He shrugged. He never gave it much thought. He's been always focusing on music. That's also why he was here. "yeah, well...they pay for it" He explained honestly. "And I need money so why not playing here. Besides it's always a practice...always an audience...maybe someone will like the way I play"

"I liked it." Part of him wanted to be coy and tell him that if he wasn't sure he liked boys, he could try it out with him. See what happened. If he liked kissing Gray then that meant he definitely liked boys. But he could never be that straightforward. Yeah, it'd be fun, but he wasn't looking for an easy fcuk. If he was he could just go to Tony.

"Thanks" Aidan smiled shyly and even blushed faintly. "I know it's not the right place to look for a label but like I said. I get money for a new guitar and the audience gets a song" He was starting to feel a little bit more comfortable although he was still fixing his hair nervously or played with his glasses.

Gray chuckled at that. "I guess. I'd do the same but I think a drummer wouldn't be so interesting. Unless I took my clothes off to the beat, but then I'd be the same as those people there, and believe me, I have no interest in being boo-ed off the stage." Because he wasn't pretty enough to strip.

Aidan laughed shaking his head. "Aren't they just pathetic?" He asked. "As if they were trying to sell themselves" He'd never do anything like that. Not just because his skinny body wasn't attractive to anyone but also because he was much too proud for that. Because even though Aidan Kinney seemed shy and with low self esteem he was proud at the same time. "So you play the drums. I knew I remembered seeing you somewhere. Must be the classroom"

"If you've seen a guy beating the shit out of his drums, then yes, that would be me." There weren't many drummers in the school. Mostly guitarists and singers, which was good because it meant he'd be wanted. At least for a band. Not that that was the only thing he wanted, because damn there were some fine guys.

"Probably" Aidan nodded. He wasn't spending much time around the drummers. Mostly either his guitar class, voice lessons or practice rooms where he'd torture his guitar and everyone around with crazy music. Sometimes happy, sometimes sad, sometimes just odd, not making much sense unless someone opened their mind.

Graham smiled a bit, taking a sip from his drink. It was sweet, but not too sweet. Though it was fcuking gay. Then again, at a gay bar, what else did you expect? "I liked your song. Did you write it? It was good. I like songs that aren't too easy. You know...the typical the sky is blue I love you shit? Doesn't really do it for me."

"Thanks" Aidan smiled and copied the other's movements pickingup his glass and taking a sip. "Yes, I wrote it. Simple lyrics aren't my domain. I usually write stuff that seemingly doesn't make sense. Or at least that's what people say. It always makes sense to me. Hopefully not only to me. Secretly I dream of a day when people would discover the hidden meaning of the songs I make" Two glasses of wine and he was becoming talkative

It was so obvious that Aidan was brought up with perfect manners. His sentences were eloquent and he didn't swear, or at least not half as much as Gray did. He was definitely a street kid. A fcuk up. "I write too, sometimes. I've never let anyone read my work though. I mean, what's the point? They'll just laugh at it anyway."

Perfect manners. Yes, outside he lived in a perfect family. If only Gray knew what it looked inside. How behind the fan of perfect manners and modesty was hidden pain, tears and humiliation
"you can't be sure of that." Aidan continued gesturing his hand. Finally it left his hair and started moving gracefully as he was speaking. "Of course there'll always be people who hate it but by hiding it you may miss your big chance"

"Then would you like to read some?" He had brought his notebook to the club, as he always did. Everything could always inspire him, and he wanted to make sure that he could always write something down when inspiration hit. Gray smiled a bit, taking another sip from his drink and watching as a dancer came onstage, reminding him of Juli. There was a flash of hurt in his eyes that he couldn't quite mask.

"sure" Aidan nodded playing with the glass in his hands. He noticed the strange look on Gray's face and followed his gaze. A guy on the stage. He was ok. Not exactly something that could interest Aidan but he could understand he could catch attention. "You know him?" He asked noticing the hurt.

"He reminds me of someone. A friend, or well he used to be. We sort of liked each other, but it didn't work out. He didn't want me." Graham smiled a bit, giving Aidan his notebook. "I kind of felt like I lost who I was on the way, you know? Always have to change to be perfect." He shrugged a bit, flipping to a page. "This is what I wrote after I figured out he wasn't that into me after all."
These are your good years Don't take my advice You never wanted the nice boys anyway And I'm of good cheer 'Cause I've been checking my list The gifts you're receiving from me Will be
One awkward silence And two hopes you cry yourself to sleep Staying up, waiting by the phone And all I want this year is for you to dedicate your last breath to me Before you bury yourself alive
Don't come home for Christmas You're the last thing I wanna see Underneath the tree Merry Christmas, I could care less
Happy New Years, baby You owe me The best gift I will ever ask for Don't call me up, when the snow comes down Its the only thing I want this year
One awkward silence And two hopes you cry yourself to sleep Staying up, waiting by the phone And all I want this year is for you to dedicate your last breath to me Before you bury yourself alive
Don't come home for Christmas You're the last thing I wanna see Underneath the tree Merry Christmas, I could care less
Don't come home for Christmas You're the last thing I wanna see Underneath the tree (Don't come home for Christmas) Merry Christmas, I could care less
Don't come home for Christmas You're the last thing I wanna see Underneath the tree (Don't come home for Christmas) Merry Christmas, I could care less

Aidan nodded slowly. "I see. I'm sorry" He took the notebook and opened it reading the poem or the song. Aidan didn't really know what it was. But whatever it was it was good. He smiled softly. "That's great. I can see what you mean here" He smiled softly re-reading the poem. So there was someone who broke his heart. A painful thing but looks like it helped the guy to open up
