“Back to the street where we began Feeling as good as lovers can, you know Yeah we're feeling so good Picking up things we shouldn't read Looks like the end of history as we know It's just the end of the world Back to the street where we began Feeling as good as love, you could, you can”
Christians fingers danced across the ivory keys of the large grand piano almost of their own accord, his lips practically glued to the microphone as he sang. He was dressed down today, wearing large black hoodie and loose fitting jeans instead of his normal somewhat colorful attire. There was only one explanation for this, he had seen his parents. They had come down to pick up Brooklyn for a few days while he caught up on his studies. Like Christian Tait ever studied.
He glanced up at the clock on the wall opposite him. His “date” with Aidan was today, if the man was ever going to show. It was already starting to get late. He had probably scared the kid off with his overly outgoing personality. Nothing knew.
“Into a place where thoughts can bloom Into a room where it's nine in the afternoon And we know that it could be And we know that it should And you know that you feel it to”

Aidan was running down the corridors, the guitar case on his back, dancing gracefully between the groups of students to avind a collision. With his flexibility he could easily become a dancer but somehow it never tempted him.
He entered the room sliding on the soles of his converses. "sorry I'm late" he panted putting the guitar down. His hand went to his nose to put the glasses up, forgetting they weren't there. He didn't really know why but that day he decided to wear contacts instead. Along with fitting jeans and a long sleeved green t-shirt, which in a normal case would be rather fitting but on his skinny body was still loose.

Christian's fingers froze on the keys as just the man he was waiting for slid into the room in a sort of a pant. One look at Aidan and he was feeling slightly awkward and out of place, it wasn't often that he would feel that way about the clothes he was wearing. But Aidan looked good. "You're not late. We never did decide on a time really.." He shrugged.

"True" Aidan smiled nervously and sat on the floor next to his guitar case. "I like this song. The one you were playing" He said ruffling his already messy and slightly wavy hair. He opened the guitar case and picked up his guitar plucking at the strings tuning it. "It was very cheerful" He looked up at Christian and smiled

"Thanks.." Christian smiled, quickly patting down the front of his hoodie while Aidan took out the guitar from it's case. "I wrote it just after Brooke was born. It's one of her favorites, she cracks up every time I play it.." He supposed it was from the funny faces he made sometimes when he sang it. "Your glasses..they're gone. You look good. I hope all this added effort getting dressed today was for me.." He winked.

"I can understand her" Aidan blushed when he heard the compliment but smiled. "Thank you. I wear contacts sometimes but...I just got used to glasses. Besides why bother, no one would notice anyway" He shrugged, although it wasn't true. Christian just noticed. "So you think it was for you?" He smiled playfully. "i don't know..." he teased and it was obvious it was shy attempt on flirting.

Christian laughed, he couldn't help it, Aidan was trying his hand at flirting. It was a poor attempt but he would take it and work with it nonetheless. "That's exactly what I think.." He nodded. "You could have told me we were dressing up for our date..I would have come better prepared" He looked down at himself and then shrugged. "Anyways, I want to hear you play"

Aidan tilted head looking at Christian then shrugged. "I told you to wear something comfortable. I feel comfortable in this" He pulled at his t-shirt. And then he got nervous again. Chris wanted to hear him play. That wasn't exactly a problem. Aidan loved playing. But for some reason he wanted to do good. Perfect. Maybe because deep inside in his naivety he treated Christian's suggestion about working together seriously. That's why he plucked at the strings a few times, checking the sound and then quietly tried to work on guitar part to the song Christian was playing before

Christian smirked as realized the tune that Aidan chose to play was the exact one he had been playing when the other man came in. They both had something in common then, their ear for music. Chris had been known to be able to pick up a tune just by listening to it in no time at all. He rubbed at his chin, nodding his head in approval. "Not bad"

Aidan wasn't that good. usually he needed some practice but the song was rather easy so he didn't have much problem with it. He messd up a few times but finally managed to catch the basics and started adding some variations to the main theme. "Thanks" He smiled feeling more configent now that he caught the melody.

"No need to thank me. I'm only speaking the truth, my dear.." Christian winked. He cracked his knuckles, tapping a few keys on the piano until he managed to catch up with Aidan. "Can you sing? Here try a few lines.." He slid the notebook with the lyrics over to him, picking up from where he ha left off before. "‘Cause it's nine in the afternoon. And your eyes are the size of the moon. You could ‘cause you can so you do.."

Aidan nodded and smiled. he could sing. He wasn't brilliant but he wasn't bad either. "...we're feeliing so good just the way that we do when it's nine in the afternoon" He sang. At first he did it with Christian copying his melody but then tried doing the second voice a little higher but matching the main idea of the song

Again Christian paused with his fingers hovering just above the keys. Aidan was good, not quite as good as he was which was understandable seeing as Chris had had more voice lessons, but still good enough to make it alright on his own. "Not bad..I seemed to have misjudged you. You don't need my help at all. Pity..I was so looking forward to all that alone time together"

"But isn't it better this way?" Aidan stopped playing and got up pulling himself a chair instead of sitting on the floor, which wasn't too comfortable. "Think of it. Instead of wasting time on teaching me stuff we can work on stuff together. Practice together, sing, maybe work on a song. And get to know each other better" Another lame attempt on flirting. He rolled eyes at himself inwardly

"I suppose it's better this way. I just so hate being wrong.." Christian shrugged, turning in his seat so that he was straddling the bench facing him. "You'd really want to work together on a song?" He questioned with an arch of the eyebrow, trailing his finger down the front of Aidan's shirt as he noticed another attempt at flirting. "Get to know each other how?"
