Aidan gasped as the other ran his finger down his chest. He wasn't used to being touched. Alright, let's be honest. No one besides his parents and siblings has ever touched him and no one like this. He was so surprised he forgot for a moment what they were talking about. "Yea...I'd like that....to work on a song I mean" He bit his lip and looked down. "And...get to know each other too. After all it's necessary if we're going to work together, right?" He said looking up at Christian. Of course that's not all what he meant

"It's necessary" Christian agreed, liking the reaction he got. It didn't matter that he didn't know which way this guy went, Chris would hit on anything that moved. He stopped his little descent just above Aidan's jeans and then began back up again before dropping his hand back down into his lap. "No need to be shy.."

Aidan bit at his bottom lip again. "Some people just are" He said quietly watching Christian's hand. It seemed so easy for Chris but Aidan felt so strange. He didn't know how to act and even though Christian was telling him not to be shy Aidan couldn't change it. Plus no one has ever tried hitting on him. Aidan wondered what was wrong with Christian. Or maybe it was just a joke? A bet with someone? And then they'd laugh at Aidan's naivety. Typical. He frowned a little

"Don't be.." He replied quietly. It was only easy for Chris because he had learned to embrace himself years ago. He leaned forward to press a wet kiss to his cheek, testing him a little bit. "So far all I know about you is that your name is Aidan Kinney, you are a great musician, and really really awkward. Speak boy.."

Aidan tensed when the other leaned and pressed a kiss to his cheek. Not because he was disgusted. On the contrary. He found it nice. Too nice. He wiggled on his chair uncomfortably. Maybe these fitting jeans weren't such a good idea. Luckily Chris asked about him giving him a way out. "I um...I have two sisters and a half-brother" And then he was stuck again. He didn't know Chris well enough. How was he supposed to tell him that his father used to beat him when he was drunk. Sometimes so hard he'd end up in a hospital. And that his mother would do nothing about it, scared that someone might noticed they weren't the perfect family she wanted to have

Christian noticed how uncomfortable the other seemed to get when he kissed him and decided to edge back some, not wanting to push his luck. He actually liked spending time with Aidan and didn't want to scare him away by being himself. He nodded. "I have a sister too, Adia. My twin. She's a model..well, aspiring to be one. But she'll make it one day..I have complete faith in her" He smiled. "What about your parents? What are they like? What do they do?"

"A model. Yes, Looking at you I can see it" Aidan said and quickly covered his mouth with a hand when he realized he said that aloud. A pink blush marked his cheek and he quickly moved to another subject which wasn't comfortable to talk about either but at least took care of the blush. He considered being honest for a moment but it was still difficult. "My parents...they..."He grimaced. "Mom doesn't work. She takes care of the house and does some stuff for the church" more than her own children. "Dad works in an office...he's....okay" He said but the strange tone in his voice and the pain in his eyes indicated it wasn't true

Christian quickly looked away, ruffling his raven hair as a blush crept up into his own cheeks. What was this? Christian Tait blushing from a compliment he had heard many times before? Absurd. "I see.." He nodded "My mum is a housewife as well..but" He draped his arm around Aidan's shoulder, looking at him seriously. "You say your dad is okay. But I'm having trouble believing that. The way you said it..that look in your eye..it gives you away. You want to talk about it? I won't say anything.."

Aidan sighed. He flintched when the other wrapped his arm around his shoulder. Usually that meant trouble. But soon he relaxed. It was Chrisitian, not his father. Just Christian and he didn't seem like someone who'd want to hurt him. Hopefully. "My father...he has drinking problem" He started quietly. "When he's sober he's okay but..." He pulled his knees up to his chest wrapping arms around them.

"Your father is an abusive drunk.." He concluded. It didn't take a genius to figure that one out. Christian didn't really know what to say to that. Compared to Aidan's father his seemed to be quite tame. "I'm sorry.." He mumbled, scratching behind his ear awkwardly.

Aidan shrugged. "It's not your fault." He said leaning slightly into Christian. He's never been a touchy feely person but for some reason, one he couldn't figure out, Christian's arm around his shoulder make him feel safe. More safe than usually. "It was okay if I managed to hide" Which didn't happen too often.

Christian's arm tightened around him once he noticed that Aidan was leaning in to him, rubbing his arm soothingly. The only problem with this was he didn't know where to go from here, the only people he knew how to comfort were women and all they needed was a good cuddle session and a few kisses. He doubted he could do all that with Aidan. "Wow.." He mumbled. "So he touched you? His own flesh and blood? Didn't you ever tell somebody?"

Aidan shook head and snorted. "Like who? No one would listen"He looked up at Christian. He was nineteen and for the first time in his life people were listening to him. He reached out into his guitar case and picked up a notebook opening it on a page covered with his messy writing. It was a song. One sentence underlined. The bruises and contusions will remind me what you did when you wake.

Christian didn't believe that. There was always somebody you could find who would listen, even if it was a stranger. He took the notebook from him, reading and then rereading the lyrics several times through. "This is wrong" He shook his head. "I just can't picture a person doing that to his son. The worst my father ever did was send me away to boarding school when I told him I was..controversial"

Aidan smiled dreamily. "A boarding school...sounds like a paradise" Oh what he wouldn't do to be sent to a boarding school when he was younger. Sadly his parents would never do it. Not to mention they couldn't afford it. "It's okay. I'm free now. I'm here. And when I graduate i'll find my own place, get a job..."
