It would be easier in time. Aidan was still a little scared and insecure now, trying to anything he could to make it all perfect and failing more than often but he'd get better at it in the future. He knew they'd have less fights and awkward moments. But for now he grimaced slightly as his shoulders started to burn. They were slightly reddish too

Christian jumped back as Aidan started to grimace, thinking that he had done something wrong again to hurt him but then he saw the reason for his pain. "I think it's time we got out..you are starting to burn" He stated quietly. "I'm sorry for getting your clothes wet..its my fault.." He didn't stop to help him but took off towards the beach on his own.

Aidan followed him swimming part of the way. This way he was able to catch up with Chris and take his hand. "It's okay" He said lightly. "Actually wet shirt might not be such a bad idea for my shoulders now" He would but first he'd have to get the cream on his skin. "Besides I bet it's already dry"

Christian hadn't noticed that he was being followed, wanting to get as far away as possible before he ended up hurting him again, until a hand slid into his own. He didn't look at him but continued walking, dragging Aidan along behind him in his haste. He shrugged. It didn't matter that it was an accident or not, he would blame himself for everything that happened to Aidan. Even if he wasn't there to make it possible that it was his fault. "Get your stuff and get under the shade.."

Aidan nodded and ran to his blanket gathering his stuff and dragging it into the nearest shade. He spread the blanket on the sand and sat on it putting his already dry hat on his head. Even with the hat he put the sunglasses on too then waited for Christian with a wide smile and a bottle of cream in his outstretched hand

Christian snatched the bottle out of his hands as it was presented to him, sitting down on the blanket and leaving several inches of space between them. He glanced down at the bottle and then Aidan and back again, visibly confused. "What do you want me to do with this?"

Aidan rolled eyes. "and hwat do you usually do with stuff like that?" He asked opening the bottle, leaving it in Christian's hands and then pointing to his shoulders. Seriously Chris should stop keeping that insane distance between them. Aidan wouldn't bite. But he'd definitely be hurt if Christian didn't cover his shoulders with it.

Christian wasn't afraid of Aidan biting him, in fact it was just the exact opposite. He got the hint though, squeezing a large measure into the palm of his hand and scooting closer to stand on his knees behind him, gently began rubbing it into the burn on his shoulders. A fatherly touch almost.

Aidan hissed at first when the cool cream touched his skin but then relaxed and smiled contentedly. It was soothing and even comforting. The touch was. Strangely there was nothing sexual in it. Just caring and tenderness. And Aidan felt loved. "Oooh that's so good" He murmured looking at Christian softly. "we're just in time to save my skin"

Christian laughed weakly, mostly for Aidan's benefit. He was still having trouble trusting himself with touching him. But he had to admit he was doing quite a good job with handling his emotions. "Yeah..just in time.." He agreed, bending down to lightly blow against the burn.

Aidan shivered again. It hurt a little but it was a good pain. It stopped the burning. "Are you thirsty?" He asked reaching into his bag and pulling out a bottle of juice. "It's not cold anymore but..." he smiled. He also had some candies in his bag. always prepared

Christian shook his head no and dropped the bottle next to Aidan's bag, curling back into a ball at his side. He was closer now but still far enough that they couldn't accidentally touch. "No thank you" He replied quietly, eying the guitar next to him before shifting his gaze back towards the water.

Aidan watched him all the time. Chris was still so distant, even if he was sitting so close. Aidan wished he could fix it somehow. He wished he could make them the way they used to be. Instead Chris was scared of ever move and every touch. He reached out and ran his hand down Christian's back. "come here" he whispered

Christian shivered as he felt a hand on his back, the touch frightened him but then again he was afraid of his own shadow these days. He decided to follow his orders, not wanting to disappoint him anymore than what he already had, and crawled forward into his waiting arms.

Aidan smiled but before he wrapped his arms around Christian he put his shirt on. This way he was safe again, able to focus on the man in his arms. "Isn't it great?" He murmured into Christian's ear as he propped his chin on his boyfriend's shoulder. "So nice and relaxing. " He sighed and then suddenly he started to hum. A melody just popped his mind
