Christian froze as Aidan moved to rest against his chest. He was too close but then again thats where Chris wanted him to be, in his arms. Aidan shouldn't have to fear him any time soon, He was too aware of himself and his own strength to lose control or let anything bad happen to him again. It would break his heart if he knew about the nightmares he had inflicted on him. "I love you" He whispered softly into his ear, cautiously wrapping shaking arms around his middle.

"hmm" Aidan murmured smiling against Christian's chest, closing his eyes contentedly. "I love you too" He whispered back. If only Chris knew this was the best way to heal him from the nightmares. Aidan needed to feel safe again. He needed good memories to forget about the bad ones. He placed his hand on Christian's arm caressing hte skin with his thumb gently

Christian shivered and his face heated up as his words were echoed back to him, thankfully Aidan couldn't see. He still wasn't used to being able to say it freely and have it said in return. He squeezed him tighter, resting his forehead against the back of his neck. "Is this what we are going to be doing all day?" He asked quietly. Not that he minded any, this was rather nice.

Aidan sighed happily feeling Christian's face against his neck. "I doubt it" He laughed. He wouldn't mind it either. It was really nice but..."soon my skin will turn red if I stay in the sun without any change. And then you'll have to take me home and cover in yogurt to ease the sunburn pain" He grimaced. It was typical for him. That's why he was dressed like that only allowing his legs to catch some sun

Christian snorted, unable to hold it back. "You really are the biggest nerd I've ever met.." He laughed, leaning over his shoulder to press a wet kiss to his cheek. "But you are my nerd..don't forget that ok? Mine.." He put emphasis on it in hopes that it would finally get through Aidan's thick head. They didn't need anymore fights because of him thinking that Chris didn't truly want him.

Aidan turned his head to look at him, his eyes shining almost as brightly as the sun. His smile was equally blinding. "Ok" He nodded twisting his neck awkwardly to press a small kiss to Christian's lips. "yours. " HE thought for a moment. "Yes, I'm your nerd. But you're my geek" He winked wrinkling his nose

Christian liked that smile. It made his fear of Aidan hating him almost disappear, almost. He moved slightly to the side so the better to look at him, two delicate eyebrows arching in mock confusion. "Geek?" He repeated. "Please explain to me your reasoning for thinking that I'm a geek. I've been trying so hard to not let that show.."

Aidan smiled innocently shrugging. "I know you too well. See, you can't hide things from me" He nodded making a very serious face, which was fake of course. "You just are a geek. Sometimes. But only sometimes it shows" He ran his finger down Christian's cheek. "But I like it." He did. He prefered this Christian to the one he saw in the bathroom

Christian rolled his eyes and stuck out his tongue, pretending to be offended at the new word he was using to describe him. He didn't care, he liked joking around. It was easier to push the terrible things to the back of his mind when they were laughing. "May I ask you what you know? I don't want a biased opinion ruining my reputation.."

"I promise not to tell anyone" Aidan nodded solemntly placing a finger to his own lips. "But you can't expect an objective opinion. It'll always be biased" He continued circling around he question but avoiding answering. It'd be too difficult. There were just all those small things., hard to describe, but he loved all those things about Chris

Aidan was avoiding answering his question, Christian could tell. He didn't see what was so particularly difficult about it. Just what the other knew about him. "Pinky promise?" He sighed, not waiting for an answer but taking his hand and locking his pinky finger with him. "Entertain me. I'm bored"

Aidan laughed at the pinky promise. But it wasn't a mocking laugh. It was a happy laugh because no one has ever done a pinky promise with him. "Pinky promise" He nodded looking at their fingers in awe. Entertain him? "We could go swimming. Or actually build a castle"

Christian didn't see the awed look in his eyes. If he had he'd most likely be laughing at him again. It was hard for him to believe that anyone could be that inexperienced in just the small things out of life. He jumped to his feet and took his hand, dragging Aidan with him as he walked backwards to the waters edge. "I've never been any good at sand castles" He wrinkled his nose.

Aidan was glad Christian didnt' laugh at him. It'd definitely make him blush and feel silly. And he was feeling happy at the moment hoping it'd stay like this. He got up and followed Christian wondering whether he should take off the shirt for they'd be swimming or building castles. "Me neither. I've been at the sea only twice and I was young then"

"My parents used to take Addy and I to the beach for a couple weeks every summer.." Christian smiled, closing his eyes at the memory. It had always just been the two of them, as it should be. He felt rather guilty for pushing her aside these days for his boyfriend. But he wouldn't voice that out loud. He continued walking until he was knee deep in the shallows, the water was much cooler than he had expected despite the heat from the sun."Please tell me you know how to swim at least"
