Say Hello To The Past [Adia]

It hadn't even been two minutes since the thought had crossed her mind that she was already fighting for control to keep it locked inside her. They were talking about her brother, but Addy was tired of the endless focus on Christian. She stretched her slim legs out in front of her, rubbing her thighs absently as her breathing deepened. Hyperventilating almost. "Do you remember the last time we saw each other Jason? What happened..what we did?"

His eyes went from taking a quick glance to gliding over her legs. She still had killer legs, something Jason had never forgotten. How everything had happened three years ago had been a bit blurry, Jason knew he had been drinking but he had not been drunk. Still, three years did take some of the details away from your memory. Nodding faintly, he looked her in the eyes again. “Yeah, course I do. What about it?” They had fun that day and night, even though it just had been an one time thing. And if you knew Jason, he wasn’t really the type to have one night stands. Sometimes he did, when he really liked the girl.

Adia should have liked the way he sat mesmerized by her newly exposed long legs, but it only made her feel more self conscious about herself. Like he was judging her with his eyes. She wasn't as small as she had been the last time they were together all do to the passing of time and a second pregnancy. "And do you know what sometimes happens to girls when they have..you know?" She asked, averting her eyes to a young couple playing around in the shallows not to far from where they were. She couldn't look at him.

Girls could be so insecure sometimes, blind even when it came down to their own bodies. Course, a lot of things in life revolved around looks and beauty, that was just the way life was. But there was nothing pretty to a girl you could count every single rib off or who had to wear children’s clothes cause she had lost so much weight. They did not needed to be super skinny, at least Jason didn’t want them to be. He wanted a ‘normal’ girl who could be herself whether that meant being thin or a little bit bigger.

Alright, so was she trying to play hints with him? Cause he had never been really good at that. “I might if you don’t be so cryptic?” he asked with a gentle voice. Jason wasn’t really sure what she was aiming for but he figured it would have to do something with sex.

"Right.." Adia nodded, pressing a hand to her heart in order to try and calm herself down. He wanted no more hints, well then she would come out with the bloody facts. "When girls have sex they sometimes get pregnant. And guess what we did, Jason" She replied, not giving him a chance to answer before she was off again. "You have a son. He's two. You can deny him all you want, I've been doing just fine on my own" There was really no need to be so snappy with him. It wasn't his fault that he didn't know, she had already left for school when she found out she was with child.

Now was the time for her to run away. She could already hear the degrading names rolling off of his tongue. Whore..Slut. She couldn't stand there and take them like a big girl, they hurt worse than someone calling the anorexic fat. So she stood and ran, as fast as she could in the opposite direction.

Jason had not been sure what to expect her to tell him, but telling him he had son had not even been on the list of possibilities. His jaw almost dropped when his eyes widened. WTF?! Was she for real?! Or was this some sick joke? Not knowing what to say, or do Jason just stared at the brunette sitting in front of him. So…after that one night she had gotten pregnant and now they had a boy? He was shocked, truly shocked. And by the time he might have been able to actually respond to her in some way she had gotten up and had ran away from him. Leaving one very shocked, surprised and freaked Jason behind in the sand.

Adia came to a halt once she was about halfway between the sidewalk and the confused man that she had just ran off on. She was crying, the salty tears flowing hot down her cheeks, although she had no idea what the true reason was for the tears. This wasn't how she had pictured telling Jason that if she had ever got the chance. Not at all. "Jason..I'm sorry.." She croaked, unsure if he could hear her. "Just pretend that I never spoke to you..I don't mind..I..I'm sorry.."

Finish school, build a career, marry a girl, create a home and then have kids. Or that had been his original game plan, but that definitely was going to happen in that order anymore. If Adia was telling him the truth and he really had a kid. Now that he would call her a liar, but it wasn’t like he really knew her either.

Oh God.

He turned around when he heard her voice, it was soft but he had hear it nonetheless. Still sitting in the sand he ran a hand through his air, his eyes not knowing where to look right now. He opened his mouth to say something, but then closed it again. Only to repeat that a couple of times before he finally looked up at her. “A-are you sure? I mean…why didn’t you…I have a boy?”

This wasn’t happening right?

Adia nodded, collapsing onto her knees in the sand with her hand to her heart. She had a bad habit of overreacting to things. If anyone should be having a panic attack it should be the man that she had just ruined his life for. Not that she wanted anything from him, she had been making it just fine on her own with Daddy's money. But he deserved to know what he had spawn in one night of bliss. "Yes I'm sure, I'm not that big of a.." She couldn't say the word. Addy knew who her baby's daddy was. "I didn't tell you before because I couldn't find you..you never gave me a number..an address..I wasn't quite sure what your last name was..I.." She shook her head. "His name is Parker..he looks just like you"

This was not the way Jason had imagined to become a father for the first time. Not at all, so right now the idea of having a son was not even starting to sink in. This morning he had decided to take an easy day but a few hours later he suddenly found out he was a father. Jason had never meant to accuse her for being a girl who slept around a lot and if he would have noticed she had taken it that he way he would have apologized but right now that was the last thing on his mind. “I guess that makes sense…” it was true though, he hadn’t given her his number nor had he asked for hers. Jason had figured it was a one time thing, a summer fling and had just left it at that. But now? Now, he really regretted doing that. “Parker?” his voice a bit unsure, “Wow…I really have a son?” which would have been about the third time he had asked her that but the idea was so weird. He had a son, a two year old son and he hadn’t even known.

Adia was confused, there wasn't enough emotion showing on his face to let her know what he was feeling about all of this. She wiped her eyes on the back of her hand, nodding in answer to his repeated question. "Yeah..Parker Ryan..I would have given him a part of your name but I wasn't sure..we don't know each other. He's really smart..he has your nose..and your smile..I can remember your smile..and my temper.." She laughed weakly but then grimaced. "It's alright if you don't believe me..I wouldn't have either"

Jason knew how to hide his feelings, after all he was an actor. Not that he used his talents to mislead people but when he was upset, or in this case shocked and confused, he couldn’t help but to keep a sort of emotion free face or voice for that matter. Right now he wasn’t really sure how he should feel about this. One thing was for sure though: His mother was going to kill him. “It’s not about that, it’s just…I kinda did not expect this to happen when I woke up this morning Addy.” Wow. This was big, like frigging huge!!

"I'm sorry..I'm so sorry Jason..I..I never expected to see you again..but you are right here and I couldn't just let you go on not knowing.." She was breaking down again, her entire body shaking out of fear and nerves. She couldn't look at him, the disgusted look in his eyes would only make her sick..make her hate herself even more than what she already did. "I couldn't abort him..I didn't want to be a murderer..he did nothing wrong..I made the mistake..damn it I'm sorry.."

Jason slowly rose to his feet and moved over to sit in front of Adia on his knees in the sand. The entire beach did not need to know what they were talking about, they already had a few heads turned their way right now. “Addy don’t, there is nothing you have to apologize for.” He believed her, you couldn’t fake emotions like she was showing right now. He believed her that she had not been able to find him, and part of him was grateful she had told him now. The other part wasn’t so sure about it all just yet.

Carefully he reached out, touching her cheek softly with the tips of his fingers. “How can something like this be your fault? We were both there….” He wasn’t mad at her, or upset with her. He was just…confused.

Adia cringed in fear as Jason touched her cheek, almost as if he had given her a full forced blow. That's what she deserved anyways. It didn't matter that they were both there, she was always going to believe that it was her fault. Her mind was that screwed up. He was being to good to her, it wasn't fair. She knew how to handle rejection and pain, she burned it off in calories. "Because I told you..and you are going to hate me for it..I'm ruining your life.."
