Jason was the kind of guy who didn’t get into a relationship that quickly. But when he did they usually lasted longer than a year to say the least. He didn’t ‘hop’ from girl to girl but once he would fall for one he would fall fast and hard. “I remember that night…well…most parts of it anyway.” Especially a few selected parts although which ones that were he kept to himself. “You were confused? About what?” And now everything was clear? What did she mean by that?

He tightened is arm a little more around her, trying to show her some comfort. “I won’t ask…” he stated softly, having noticed the look in her eyes right before she looked away. They didn’t know each other yet and he didn’t like to pry.

Adia knew which parts Jason would remember, all guys thought the same way so it was nothing new. He had gotten laid, any guy would be proud of that. "I don't know..I was confused about a lot of things that night..like I thought that you liked me..that someone was finally interested in little Addy Tait..no one had ever given me that much attention before..but now I realize that you are just a generally nice person. That I wasn't that special girl that had the hottest guy at the party come up to her because he was interested in her..you would have done it for anyone else.." Adia replied, smiling weakly although what she said about herself hurt.

She glanced up at him, ringing her hands together repeatedly in her lap out of nerves. "It's alright..you're eyes have already done the asking for you.." She closed her eyes, breathing deeply and then opened them once more. "I didn't have a choice when it came to giving away my virginity. It was taken from me..by her father. I was twelve.."

Jason snorted, feeling offended by what she was saying. Right, so she was making him out for some player? A nice one apparently, but still a guy who screwed around and didn’t care about girls? He pulled his arm away from her to only wrap it around Parker. “So basically I’m just some guy who sleeps around with every willing girl he can get at a party?” his voice revealing he was annoyed with her stating such a thing. Cause Jason was the right opposite of such a guy, he hated people like that and made sure he wouldn’t be friends with them either. So when he would be compared to such a person he took that as something to be very offending. “Suppose that makes it clear how little you know about me.”

He didn’t look at her when she continued, eventually telling him something that made him widen his eyes the tiniest bit. “Ow…that’s…I’m sorry to hear that.” He said, not knowing how to respond to such a thing for a moment. That was just plain sick, a father sleeping with his own daughter? That was something that would get his blood boiling, people like that should be thrown in jail to stay there forever. It just wasn't right.

The moment his arm left her Adia felt like she couldn't breathe. She didn't like to be pushed aside or hated, it had happened far too much in her life already to not affect her. She hadn't meant to offend Jason, only compliment him on how good of a person he was. It wasn't his fault that she had given herself to him in hopes of just a few minutes of love and attention. It was how she earned all of it because sleeping with people meant that for those few short minutes you were the only person on their mind. "You're right.." She whispered weakly, scooting away to give him the space that he wanted. "I don't know you..I'm sorry" She refused to say any more about the way her daughter had been conceived, there was no need to. Skylar was her baby girl and she loved her, despite everything else.

Jason didn’t understand how she could say such a thing. It was pretty harsh but she didn’t seem to even get what she had just stated him to be? Or maybe she did and she didn’t care or something? “ You’re damn right you don’t know me. Not that I need to explain myself, but I don’t try to ‘get every girl I can get.’ You seemed to be the only normal girl between all the stuck up people at that party so I thought why not go talk to her. Whatever happened wasn’t planned and I sure as hell don’t pretend to be interest when I’m not.” Cause that is what he had been, interested.

Adia was trying to block him out. He was yelling at her, or rather that's what it seemed like in her mind and she just couldn't handle it. Her breathing deepened and she looked down at her grotesquely large form, it was always during these times that she became more aware of her body. She couldn't even comprehend the fact that he had just said that he had once been into her. The damage had already been done, she was panicking. "I'll just..I'll just go.." She breathed, but stayed put where she was. Her legs felt like jelly.

He hadn’t raised his voice that much but still he felt Parker stir in his arms. He wasn’t waking up, or so it seemed, but it did had come close to that. Jason sighed, pulling one arm away from Parker to ran his hand through hair. “Addy you don’t have to go, I’m not mad at you.” He was just annoyed with her for a moment and maybe a little bit hurt by what she had said. “Just don’t assume things like that.” His voice this time calm and at a normal volume.

Adia flinched as she watched Jason pull one arm away from Parker out of her peripheral vision, almost as if she had expected him to hit her. A bad move, she would get another scolding for assuming that for sure. "I'm sorry.." She mumbled, rubbing at her thighs to get some feeling back into them. "I..I..I only go on what I know..and I just..just thought..don't hate me"

From the corner of his eyes he watched her flinch and looked up, not understanding what she would flinch for. “Addy relax, I’m not going to hurt you or something.” Why should he? Not that he would ever hit or hurt a girl in any other way to begin with. “Hate you? You would have to do much worse to make me hate you.” He was a forgiving person so getting Jason to hate you was a pretty hard task to begin with.

"I'll try not to do anything worse then, but I'm not going to make any promises.." Adia replied quietly. This girl really didn't have any faith in herself, did she? She pushed herself up onto her feet, her bottom lip quivering and knees threatening to buckle out from under her. "You two should bond some when he wakes up..I'll come get him in a couple of hours or so..you don't need me here bugging you"

Wow, Adia really was the most insecure girl with such low self esteem Jason had ever met in his entire life. Maybe it was just him but he couldn’t see why she should feel that way about herself, aside from her father might being the cause. Such a thing had a major impact. “Oh, okay but you’re welcome to stay though.” Just cause he was a bit annoyed didn’t mean he wanted her gone and she had apologized, sort of. His eyes left Parker and moved back to Adia, who didn’t seem to be standing that secure on both her feet. “You okay?”

"No..I really should go..all I'm doing is getting in the way and frustrating you..I have loads of things to do anyways.." Adia replied quickly. Lies, she had nothing to do but go hide out in her dorm and get angry with herself for breaking so easily around Jason. How could he ever like her if she broke down in tears every time they were around each other. He asked if she was okay, was she? The question made her extremely aware that she hadn't eaten anything in three days plus all of this stress wasn't good for her. "I'm just a little dizzy that's all..I'll be fine.." She said, reaching for the door.

If she wanted to leave Jason wouldn’t stop her. She was welcome to stay, but still she wanted to leave. And if she said she would be fine he could do nothing else than to believe her, so he did. “Alright, but before you head out just let me give you my number alright? Just in case we aren’t here when you get back.” Laying Parker on his bed Jason stood up and walked up to his desk. He then scribbled his cell phone number on it and then handed it over to Adia.

Adia froze with her hand on the door knob, waiting as Jason scribbled down his phone number on a piece of paper for her. That's what she had needed all these years, a number to reach him. She took it from him thankfully, and left the room without a word. Completely forgetting to mention that Parker might scream when he woke up from his nap to find that she wasn't there.
