“Da..Da..Da..Da!” Brooklyn’s voice filled the room as she banged her cup repeatedly against the table from her wooden high chair. She had been doing that for the better part of an hour, the same amount of time Christian had been knocked out with his forehead resting against the edge of the table. That was definitely going to leave a mark.
He couldn’t help it, he had stayed up well past midnight giving guitar lessons to one of the younger students. Who ever said that Chris couldn’t be charitable sometimes? What made things worse though was that Brooke woke up at five a.m. that morning ready to play and simply refused to go back to sleep. The past couple of weeks had been the longest he had been alone with his daughter without any outside help, and it was starting to take its toll on the young teen.
Adia sat across from him, a smirk on her face as she watched her niece drag down her father. Parker sitting in a matching high chair next to his cousin, being as quiet as can be as he ate his breakfast. Brooke was doing enough damage for the both of them.
Addy had no intention on helping her brother. How was Chris going to learn if there was always someone to do these things for him? She never had anyone there for her when both of her kids used to wake up at the crack of dawn and still had to go to school like everyone else.

Aidan slid through the opened door and waked to the counter. Though saying walked would be an understatement. He almost floated, moving with grace of a dancer. The only problem was Aidan missed the grace of a dancer so he tripped on the chair on his way and almost landed on his teeth. But it didn't upset him. Nothing would ruin his mood. he'd been like that for the past few days. "Coffee please" He pulled out a few coins from his pocket and sighed. HE really needed more money.

Adia whipped around as a chair scraped across the linoleum floor loudly as Aidan tripped, pressing a finger to her lips. "Shh!!" She hissed. Not that it mattered with Brooke screaming into Chris's ear and he had already figured out how to block out the noise. "Can't you learn how to walk without falling on your face, Kinney? We have a sleeping baby here!" She pointed out, giggling.

"No, I can't" Aidan barked not looking at the person who spoke to him. Money problems were the best mood killer for him. And this time he saw the bottom of his pocket. Which meant everything he had was safe on his bank account, not to be spent unless it was a new guitar. And that meant living on air unless he got another talents evening in a bar.
he got his coffee and turned around to see who the sleeping baby was. His frown turned into a soft smile as he saw Christian. his Christian. He walked to him slowly nodding at Adia

Adia narrowed her eyes as Aidan barked at her, wanting nothing more than to give him a little piece of her mind. But she refrained from doing so as they were in a public place and her son was here. "Looks like somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed.." She sneered, rolling her eyes as she turned back towards her brother. "I found him like this awhile ago. I'm assuming that it has something to do with my adorable niece"

"I woke up on the right side of the bed" Aidan said sitting down and sighing. "But things changed when...nevermind" He didn't need to bother her with his problems. He took a sip of his coffee looking at Chris. Poor guy. Brooke was probably up all night. Heran fingers through Christian's hair gently then turned to the baby. "why did you keep daddy up ?"

"When what things changed?" Adia questioned, guessing his answer before he even had to say it. He had only bought himself a coffee. Now that wasn't right, Aidan was tiny. He needed to eat. She looked down at her untouched plate and then back at Aidan, sliding it across the table to him. Addy chose to live off of solely air and water, that didn't mean he had to too.
Christian stirred as he felt long fingers run through his hair, lifting his head up with his eyes still closed in sleep then let it fall right back down onto his lovers shoulder. Brooklyn stopped screaming as someone finally addressed her, sticking her tongue out and blowing in answer that even made Parker giggle. "Dada!" She pointed.

"Thank you" Aidan shook head and pushed the plate back to her feeling slightly humilated but trying not to show it. He could deal with his money problems. They were his problems. He didn't need something that oddly smelled like charity. Instead he sipped his coffee numbing his stomach and smiled feeling Christian's head on his shoulder. HE wrapped arm aroudn the other man and kissed hishair and then laughed seeing Brooke's face. "Yes. Dada. Dada is sleepy"

"Eat! I insist.." Adia replied, pushing the plate right back to him. There was no stopping her once she had gotten her mind made up, Aidan should start figuring that out. She leaned across the table towards the two boys, resting on her elbows with an evil grin. "You see that right there?" She asked gesturing between them. "That's because of me isn't it? A think a Thank you should be in order..let me hear it.."
"No!" Brooke whined, reaching out both hands for her father. He wasn't allowed to be sleepy. "Mine!"

Aidan sighed and picked up one sandwich. Actually he was hungry and deep inside he was grateful Adia was so stubborn. "Thanks" He murmured smiling softly. It was barely audible and he meant breakfast. "Is it because of you?" He asked afted a few quiet minutes of chewing. He smiled. It was. She helped. He smiled at Brooke. He'd have to share his boyfriend now

"Of course!" Adia nodded. In reality though she hadn't done anything for the boys except leave them both in an awkward situation and babysit her niece so they could talk things through. Addy sighed in defeat and reached for Brooke as she became more fussy and pouty than before, but was smacked at as the child stretched her arms towards Aidan. She wanted the closest thing to her father. "She's all yours Kinney. By the way, have you met my son? This is Parker.." She said, ruffling the boy's raven hair.
"Be quiet could you.." Christian pouted.

Aidan reached out his hand and shook PArker's small one. "Nice to meet you Parker" He said smiling. Brooke was definitely like her father. Demanding all the attention. Except moment like now. "Why don't you go to get some sleep in bed?" Aidan murmured into Christian's ear then pulled Brooke's chair closer to them

Christian lifted his head up, finally noticing that Aidan had graced them with his presence. He honestly hadn't known who he was laying on except that it was comfortable and that he didn't want to move. "No..I..I'm fine..when did..when did you get here?" He yawned, rubbing furiously at his eyes to wake himself up.
Parker covered his eyes with his free hand to hide behind as Aidan shook his other hand. Aidan was a stranger to him and Parker didn't like strangers. "Mommy!" He cried.

"A while ago" Aidan smiled then offered Christian his coffee. "What kept you up all night? This Little Princess?" He asked pointing to Brooke who was still trying to get her father's attention. Parker on the other hand was visibly scared. "I don't think he likes me" He murmured taking another bite of the sandwich feeling much better when he got food

Christian shrugged, taking the coffee thankfully and holding it close to his body with both hands as he took a sip. "I was..uh..practicing late" He lied. Telling Aidan that he had been giving someone lessons would only ruin the reputation he had built even further than what it already was. "And Brooke woke up before dawn and has been screaming at me ever since..I'm not ready to play.."
"Now you see how I feel every day, and I have too.." Adia snorted sarcastically, kissing her sons hair to let him know that she was their and that he shouldn't be afraid. "You are a stranger to him Aidan..give him time.."
