Name: Ryan Michael Robins
Age: 17
Gender: male
Oriëntation: bisexual
Physical Appearance:
What are you applying for: Artist - Drawing
Background:
Ryan comes from a rich family, but it has never brought him much happiness. His parents were doctors, always off on some mission to save the world. They’ve traveled abroad a lot, and he’s been to many countries, until his teens. Then they decided to send him to boarding school, after a little incident with a boy in France (the memory of French kissing still makes him smile). His parents disagree with his apparent bisexuality, and it’s usually hushed up. At parties he is presented as the perfect son, the perfect heir, and he loves his parents enough to go along, even if they deny who he is.
He’s spent a few years at boarding school, got kicked out for being under the influence of alcohol in class, and has finally persuaded his parents to allow him a career in the arts. If he recalls correctly, the principal of his boarding school said ‘the only thing he’s good for is making those silly drawings’. Silly or not – by the way, the guy had a portrait of his daughter hanging in his room – they finally decided to give in, hoping that this would calm him down and keep the rumors at bay.
And it has. He’s calmed down considerably, and is now generally known as a nice and talented kid. He has friends, he parties on occasion, and sometimes he brings a nice guy or girl back to his bed. He isn’t a slut by any means, though sometimes the thought that it’s all he’s good for comes to mind. Which usually leads to the alcohol.
Personality & Flaws:
Ryan has a tendency to get depressed, and when he does, he usually ends up drinking. He is taking meds because the doctors have diagnosed him with Borderline. Sometimes he sees it as the perfect excuse to be an asshole, but that’s usually when he’s out with strangers. To his friends he is a nice and loyal guy.
He can be a charmer, but he can be cold and sarcastic as well. He is often confident, but sometimes he gets shy, and again, his tendency to get depressed increases his feeling of low self-worth at times. He will be upfront and honest about his opinions, and will not back out of a fight, though he rarely cares enough to get into a fight in the first place.
He can love, really deeply, and hate at the same time. Things are often black and white with him, and it switches. Sometimes all he wants is to be alone, and sometimes the thought of people leaving him makes him clingy and jealous. He tries to stay in control of himself, he doesn’t really like showing his emotions.
Drawing is the one thing that makes him feel at ease, and you can often learn more from his paintings than from his words. He loves to read, though he isn’t a bookworm. His motto is ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover’ and he will live and die by it, which means that he won’t form an opinion about anyone too soon. He knows that he wouldn’t like it if people did it to him.
