Three weeks. 21 days had passed since the moment Adia had told him he had a son. Since three weeks Jason was a dad and things were going alright, he was getting to know Parker and Adia. He had met Skylar twice but hadn't spend as much time with her as he had with Parker. Jason had never seen himself to be a dad while still being in school, but now that he was he wouldn't want it to be different.

Jason was sitting against a tree in the grass while the branches and leaves casted their shadows upon him. Still, one ray of sunlight had managed to sneak through and was falling down right on Jason's face. With his knees pulled up and his eyes closed he just relaxed.

Last night he had THE talk with his parents. Telling them he had a son had been a big thing but they had taken it better than he had expected them too. Sure, they were freaked and had been upset about it but it wasn't like they could change anything about it.

Anyway, now that he had told them, the tension that had been building up inside of him had died down. It would take a while for his parents to accept it all, he knew what it was like. It had taken him three weeks to get used to the idea and right now he was accepting life as it was, with Parker.

Adia had just gotten back from a long gruesome visit at the Tait manner where she had dropped off her son after the over extended visit. Skylar had a hard time letting her leave, she was jealous of the fact that her mother was spending so much more time with Parker than her. So it was on, the whole of next weekend was planned just for the two girls. Not that she minded in the least, it was fun having a girls day out.

She wandered up the lawns of the school, bundled up in one of her dance hoodies and a pair of fitted blue jeans. Her long hair tied up into a ponytail to save it from the wind. It was starting to get colder out, that was for sure. Her thin body shivering as she walked, more than what the average person would do from the cold.

She stopped next to Jason on her way up, her arms crossed tightly across her chest. She still found herself slightly awkward and nervous in his presence, even though they had spent over three weeks in each others company. "Hey..can I sit here?"

He lazily opened one eye when he heard a girls voice asking him if she could sit with him. When he noticed the girl being Adia he opened his other eye too and smiled at her. “Hey there beautiful.” Jason nodded, course she could come sit with him. “Yeah sure, always.” He liked to have her company with out without his son in the neighbourhood. “How’s it going?” Which also made him wonder where Parker was, he hadn’t seen his little guy for a few days and come to think of it. Neither had he seen Adia.

Adia put on a weak smile and sat down Indian style next to him, timidly taking one of his arms to wrap around her shoulder for warmth. She was starting to get braver near him, but the nerves were definitely still there. “Going alright I suppose..Just got back from dropping off Parker at my parents..” She replied, answering his unasked question. “What about you? What are you doing out here all alone?”

He let her wrap his arm around herself and started to rub her arm a little with his hand, getting the hint that she was cold. “Oh…I didn’t know that. When will he be back here again?” Things were going alright between him and his son, or so he figured. Maybe it would be the time to tell him who he really was soon. He had sort of hoped that might be this week unless Parker wasn’t around.

“Told my parents about Parker yesterday, they freaked but they will be okay with it once they meet him. So right now I’m just relaxing I guess, thinking about some stuff.” he said, smiling.

"I don't know.." Adia shrugged, chewing on her bottom lip. "I guess when I get caught up here some..I didn't want to ask you to watch him for me..I feel like I've been pushing all of this on you so fast..I'm sorry" She mumbled. Great, had she done the wrong thing by sending him home without asking how the other felt about it? But it was only fair, Sky didn't get to come as often as her baby brother.

She froze when he told her about telling his parents about their son, afraid that they had blown up on him for having a child. "Y-you told them?" She gasped. "About me? What did you say? What did they say? Do they hate me? Oh god.."

The last three weeks had been busy with trying to juggle school, with spending time with Parker and Aida and everything else he did in his free time. At the end of the day Jason was beat but it was all worth it. “Hey I’m his father right? We’re supposed to take care of him together, not just you on your own anymore.” his voice a bit softer than before when he spoke. “If you want me to have him for a day or a couple or days, or whatever really… just tell me.”

Jason rose a brow at her surprised reaction that he had told his parent. Course he had, they would find out sooner or later anyway. And he faster he would tell them the better cause if he would wait a good while they would be pissed with him for not telling any sooner. “Ehm, yeah…I told them about you and Parker.” He chuckled softly at her response and shook his head. “Nah, they would love to meet both of you, the only one they are mad at right now is me. Which will blow over, they just need some time to accept things ya know?”

"I'm sorry.." Adia repeated quietly. She said those two words often while around Mr. Owens didn't she? "It's hard for me to remember you know..I've been taking care of them by myself for so long and it's weird having someone there to help now..and Skylar..it wouldn't be fair to her if Parker got to stay..she misses me.." She sighed, rubbing his cheek with the back of her hand and then let it slide slowly down his chest so that she could wrap her own arm around him, hugging him close. "I don't want you to get in trouble with your parents..it wouldn't be right.."

Wrapping his other arm around her he pressed a kiss on top of her head, letting his cheek then rest against the same spot. “It’s okay, I’m still trying to figure it all out too. It’ll work out.” Maybe they should talk about it sometime, make a plan or something. “You could bring her over while Parker stays with me, that way you don’t have to miss either of them.” She could still see Parker every day and Jason got to spend time with his boy, it was a win-win situation.

Slowly running his over her side her smiled, she was such a sweet girl. “Yeah well, it happens when you end up having a kid when you’re 20 while still being in school. Parents don’t seem to like that very much.” It would blow over though, his parents were good people and even though they hadn’t said it just yet… Jason knew they were proud of him for taking his responsibilities seriously. “It will be okay in a few weeks, don’t worry about it Addy.”

Adia shivered as he pressed a kiss to the top of her head, the hand running down her side raising goosebumps onto her sensitive skin. She wasn't used to being this close to somebody and not have to put out, it was a nice feeling actually. "I'll think about it..Skylar can be a lot to handle sometimes..she's a little mouthy once she gets used to you..I wouldn't want to have you help carry my burden..you have school.."

So the two of them would be meeting his parents soon? Now that was going to be awkward, especially since her and Jason weren't a couple and yet they were going to bring him to meet his other grandparents. "Technically you had a kid when you were eighteen" She corrected.

Jason had grown up to be a cuddler. His mom had cuddled him all his life even though he had rebelled against that at a certain age. Yet, when Mary Owens wanted to cuddle her son there was nothing that would stop her from doing just that. So eventually he had given up, especially when his younger sisters decided to copy mrs. Owens cuddling behaviour. At that point Jason had just given up, cause what else could you do with three kid sisters and a mother?

“Ey, I have five younger siblings, I know what it’s like. Besides, if I can help out I will.” Yeah, he had school but he also had a son now, both things needed to be balanced out eventually. A laugh left his lips when she corrected him, “Please do not tell my parents that will you? I don’t think they have figured that out just yet.” The shock of ‘mom, dad guess what? I have a son!’ was already enough for them.

Adia was also a cuddler, but it wasn't from it being forced on her when she was younger. She would have given anything for that from her parents, she had witnessed Christian getting it from mum a few times but never her. She did it now to cope with all the abandonment issues she had, not that it helped much when it came to men.

Jason was all too willing to put his best foot forward and help her, but she still had to sit down and think about this before she allowed him to get completely wrapped up in her mess. He needed a life too. "I won't tell.." She whispered, tilting her head back to look up at him. "But can I ask you something?..What did you tell them about me?"

All Jason wanted was to take up the responsibilities he knew he had now with Parker around. That meant taking care of him and being who he was that meant taking care of his son’s mother as well. Course Jason still wanted his own life but he wanted to be part of Parker’s life and Adia’s too.

What he had told his parents? About her? He smiled, remembering what he had said during the conversation of the previous day. “That I met this beautiful and amazing girl at a party during the summer. That a few things let to some other things but that we never saw each other again. And that she suddenly transferred to my school and told me I had a son.” Or something similar to that.

Beautiful and amazing. Jason had no idea how just those two words affected her. They sent butterflies fluttering in her stomach and a small smile to her full lips as she blushed scarlet. She could care less about everything else he had said to them, her mind was still too caught up on his first statement to hear anything else that came afterword. "Say it again.." She whispered breathlessly as she nuzzled her head into his chest. "Please"

He chuckled, watching her cheeks turn a deep scarlet, followed by her nuzzling his chest. “What? That I think you are an amazing and beautiful girl?” meaning every single word that came past his lips. She really was beautiful and he found her to be amazing in the way she raised both her kids. That wasn’t easy and yet here she was doing just that. “It’s true you know.”
